RECRUITMENT SECRETARY NORTHERN REGION NORTHERN AGENT GENERAL TO THE UK Alhaji Sa'aduAIanamu was bom in1912at Ilorin, Kwara State. He startedhis education with Okesuna Elementary School, Ilorin from 1920-24 and proceeded to Ilorin Middle School, 1924-28. He was at the famous Katsina Higher College from 1929-33. In 1933 after his education, he became Chief Scribe to the Ilorin Native Authority and later Secretary, Ilorin Local Government in 1954. He was a memberof Northern Houseof Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives from 1953 to 1956. Thereafter, he was appointed Recruitment Secretary, Northern Region from 1957to 1960. In 1948 however,Alhji SaaduAlanamu together with people like the Sardauna, AbduAnache and the Emirof Gwandu Haruna went onaUKLoci Government Course. He was elected in the 1956 elections into the Houseof Representatives. In 1960, he was in London as Secretary Nigerian Mission in the UK and three months later 1960, he became the Agent General until 1963. He then left the Northern Public Service and joined the Federal Service in which he was appointed Managing Directorof the then largest government run company, Nigeria Product Marketing Company (NPMC) which he helduntil 1968 when he retired from government. For most partof his old age, he was the most Senior Balogun of thefourin Ilorin Emirate and the most Senior Councillor in the Palaceof the Emir. In recognition of Imposition in society, the Nigerian Government appointed him the founding Chairman of Nigerian Ropes Pic. He was turbanedas Wa^iriof Ilorin (TraditionalPrime Minister)inNovember 1979. He died on the27thof February, 1996.
