Alhaji Sa'idu Ibrahim is a member of the Federal House of Representatives. He represents Kiyawa constituency in Kano State and was elected on the platform of the Peoples' Redemption Party. He was born on June 25, 1944 at Kiyawa but grew up in Jos. Alhaji Sa'idu Ibrahim attended the elemen tary school at Jos from 1952 — 1955 before go ing to the senior primary school at Pankshin from 1956 — 1958. He had his secondary education at the Provincial Secondary School, Kuru, between 1959 — 63 where he obtained the West African School Certificate. Alhaji Sa'idu Ibrahim attended the Federal School of Science Lagos from 1964 — 1965 for the G.C.E. (A level) course. After obtaining the Advanced level cer tificate, Alhaji Ibrahim took up an appointment as a registry clerk in 1966. He was promoted in 1967 to Staff Trainee, Mines and became Min ing Assistant the following year. He underwent an in-service training course in 1974 at the Mines school, Jos and was awarded a diploma of Mines. He rose to the post of Quarry Sepervisor Grade II in 1975 and urade I in 1976. By 1978, he was already a Quarry Manager. Although Alhaji Ibrahim lost his father when he was four year old, his uncle Mallaln Ibrahim, gave him all the support he needed to build a solid educational base for himself. Alhaji Ibrahim is married. His two wives have between them four children. Alhaji Sa'idu Ibrahim has travelled to Saudi Arabia, Niger and the Cameroun. His hobbies include reading, billiard and badminton.
