He went to school first in Bida South Ekmentary Schoolfrom 1943 to 1947 and then to Bida Middk Schoolin 1948. He moved outfrom Bida to Zaria Secondary Schoolfrom 1949-1954 and then to Nigerian Colkge of Science and Technology all in Zariafrom 1955- 1957. He thenproceeded to the University of Ibadanfrom 1957-1960. He leftNigerian shores to the USA where he attendedthe University ofMinnesotafrom 1962-1963. He startedhis careeras theAuditorin theNorth Regional Governmentin 1960 and became aSeniorAuditor in 1964. Hemoved to the Federal Civil Service as SeniorAssistant Secretaryfrom 1965-1967. Hemovedfrom that Ministry to become the Administrative Secretary of the Customs and Excisefrom 1967-1971. He waspromoted Deputy Permanent Secretary andposted to the FederalMinistry of Defencefrom 1971-1974. He become Permanent Secretary and wasposted to the Ministry of Health where he remained till 1978.
