Mr Salihu Aliyu, an elected member, represents Biu North Federal Constituency, Borno State. He was born in Kwaya Kusar. Biu LGA in March 1950. He was educated at Kwaya Kusar and Biu Junior and Senior Primary Schools, 1956—62; Government Secondary School, Maiduguri, 1963—67; School of Agriculture, Samaru, 1968—69 for Agricultural Assistant II Course and Bayero University Kano, 1973—77 where he obtained a B.A. (Hons) degree . He also obtained an Advanced Diploma in Local Government from the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1980 and a master of science degree in Social Science (Development Administration) from Birmingham University, U.K in 1984. He is an Assistant Chief Inspector of Local Government in Borno State Civil Service. He is married with nine children. His hobbies are farming, reading and badminton.
