Honest is truly an unassuming sincere and honest man. He /as born on 30"' September. 1940 in Ezihe Mbano to the Late Eze Aluziwe Chukwukere. who was the Paramount Head ofthe town and for several I mesthe chair of Council of Warrant Chiefs in the old Umuduru District Court ofthe colonial days. Employment History/I>ducational Career Ilonesl spent greater part of his time teaching in both secondary and tertiary institutions where he made impression on the minds of young people ho had opportunity to pass through him. He taught at the Community Grammar School Ibeme from 1961 63 and moved to the popular National Ugh School Arondizuogu from 1964 1965 before proceeding to Ibo National Grammar School Kafanchan. The outbreak ofthe Nigerian-Biafra War rought him home to the"East and he continued teaching at St. Catherine's Girls' Secondary School Nkwerre. Imo State till 1971 before proceeding for Higher Studies atthe University ofNigeria, Enugu Campus. Itwas in 1974 that he joined the academic staff ofthe Kaduna Polytechnic as aSenior Lecturer inthe School of Business Studies and Management. Mr H.O.D. as fondly called byhis admirers, holds the Masters in Business Education oftheAhmadu Bello University Zaria, B.Sc ( Hons.) degree in Business Education from the University ofNigeria, Nsukka. He was before then a young school teacher atthe secondary school after obtaining his Nigerian Teachers Grade II Certificate from Bishop Lasbery College, Irette, Owerri. Imo State. He was a member ofthe Kaduna Polytechnic Pictorial History Committee from 1990 1996 He also served as a member ofthe Academic Board of Polytechnics from 1995 1996 He also served as an elected member ofthe Academic Board of Polytechnics, Kaduna from 1999 2001 and Chairman of Higher National Diploma Audio Visual Programme Development Committee in 1999. Contributions to Community and State Developments His national service was not confined to the classroom. He distinguished himself in selfless service to the community. • As a distinguished patriot, he was the Chairman ofFinance Committee, ImoAirport Appeal Fund from 1990 1992. His role model is his biological father, His Royal Highness,Eze Aluziwe Chukwukere ofblessed memory who taught him to live atransparently honest lifeat all timesand to help everyone in need. Mr H.O.D. advises the youths to "learn to be patient in service and value integrity over material acquisition and worldliness ". He encourages those in leadership position to "remember that United we stand and Divided wefall- the needfor Unity among Igbo Leaders will bring in progress and development to the Igbo nation ". He wants all to live inpeace and fear God in all things and at all times. He is happily married to his wife Mrs S.C. Aluziwe and they are blessed with five children. His wife is also a Lecturer in the Department ofFood Technology at theCollege of Science andTechnology, Kaduna Polytechnic.
