Hon. Yusuf I. Amoka, the member for Okene in the House of Representatives, was born at Okene in Kwara State in 1928. He is a muslim. He attended the R.C.N. School, Okene, from 1938 to 1945, after his primary school eduatio 1946 to 1949, and the Auxiliary Medical Train ing School, Zaria from 1950 to 1951. Later in 1960, he went for the Information Officer's course at the British Council, Kaduna, and in 1962, he undertook a course in urbanisation at the Institute of Administration, Zaria. Hon. Amoka joined the Ministry of Health as a dispenser in-charge of Ajaokuta District in 1953. Between 1958 and 1965, he was the Councillor/Chairman, Okene District and the District Head of Okene town from 1965 to 1971. He was a member of the Kabba Provincial Council from 1962 to 1964; during the same period, he was also a member of the Kabba Provincial Joint Educational Committee. He has 18 children from his three wives; Maimuna, Zenebu and Alimetu. His late father Mr. Amoka who was a farmer at Okene had over forty children. His mother, the late Madam Onyize Asema of Egain, Okene, had six children. Hon. Amoka is a member of the National Party of Nigerian, he went to Saviour's Academy, Onitsha from
