(NPP) was born on October 10, 1939 at Elekenaowasi Obohia in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area. He was educated at St. Bede's Catho lic School Obohia; Catholic School, Umuokirika, 1952-54; Lagos College of Commerce and Science, 1960-65. Mr. Anyanwu was a sales clerk, St. Paul's Catholic Press and Bookshop, 1953-57; sales manager, Mosaic Book shops Company Ltd., Lagos, 1957- 1959; sales manager, West African Central Agencies Ltd., Lagos, 1966- 1969, and for some time managing director, International Industrial De velopment Company Ltd., Lagos. He was a one-time president of East Cen tral State Youth Vanguard, and also an executive member, Nigerian Soli darity Youth Councol, among the places he has visited are Bulgaria and Rumania. He is married and has six. cliildren. He enjoys music, gardening and table tennis.
