Mr Asika, popularly known as a Media Entrepreneur, has worked in the Banking industry, Oil and Gas industry, Procurement industry and in Business Support Services. He has worked with Investment Banks and PE firms on driving investment into Nigeria since the late 90's, worked in Sports Marketing, the Music Business, TV Production, Marketing and Communication industries. He has also been directly involved in producing events and direct marketing since the 80's.
Mr Asika sits on the board of several companies across diverse areas of business from Events Services, Marketing and Media Communications, ICT, Real Estate, etc. He firmly believes that African brands and companies need to think Global especially with new technologies creating new ways to access global markets. He is also keen to work with those who are able to partner on this – in terms of making African content (music, movies, sports, games, comics, etc) thus making this available to the African Diaspora and an increasingly engaged global audience.
Mr Asika has worked as an Executive Producer of several tv shows and events, including but not limited to Big Brother Nigeria, Doctor's Quarters, Dragons Den Nigeria, The Apprentice Africa, Calabar Rocks, Etisalat One Million Dollar Show, 100% Naija, Naija Sings and in terms of events, he was an ISL marketing Representative in West Africa (now FIFA marketing) between 1999-2002, tournament producer for FIFA U20 World Cup 1999, CAF Nations Cup 2000 Nigeria/Ghana and Mali Nations Cup 2002. Other events include: Big Brother and Channel O Eviction Parties, Calabar Music Festival and Several National Roadshows. He has also worked on these shows/events with major brands such as Mnet, Mtv, Channel O, Soundcity, and State Governments such as Cross River State Government, Lagos State Government amongst others.
