Born August 10, 1966. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru is the current current Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria. He was appointed on January 26, 2021 by Muhammed Buhari. Attahiru served as a commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, the special military unit formed to deal with insurgents in Northeast Nigeria. Before his latest appointment, the new NA chief headed the 82 Division of the force.
