Chief Adewunmi had his elementary education at the All Saints School Ote and St. Peter's School Ake, Abeokuta from 1946-49 and 1950-51. Chief Olufemi Adewunmi Chief Adewunmi went into teaching profession from 1952 to 1954. From 1955-56, he attended the St. Paul's Teacher Training College, Abeokuta to be trained as a grade three teacher. He taught for three years after which he went back to the same college to teach as a grade 11 teacher between 1960 and 1961. He proceeded to the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo from 1964-66 at the end of which he obtained the National Certificate in Education. He thereafter taught at the Macjob Grammar School, Abeokuta from 1966 to 1968. Chief Adewunmi obtained his B.A. Hons. degree in English at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife in June 1971. Until his present appointment, Chief Adewunmi was the principal, Orile Ilugun Community Grammar School, Orile-Ilugun Abeokuta. Aged 46, Chief Adewunmi was between 1976 and 1978 General Secretary, Abeokuta Improvement Association. He is married with children. His hobbies are reading, sports and games.
