They include such areas as media, public and community relations as well as advertising, the job he handled with such dexterity to earn the trust of his employers • He is also in charge ofthe manpowertraining, development and deployment, especially as it has to do with the realization ofthe Federal Government’s Local content policy in his company. • Elfwhere Chiejina is a Deputy Managing Directoralthough not many Nigerians know him, yet he commandsboth respect and influence in Oil and Gas Industry, where he effectivelybecomes a beneficiary ofthe Federal Government’s Local Content Policy championed by the National Petroleum Investment and Management Services ( NAPIMS). a subsidiary ofthe Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which hasencouraged brilliant Nigerians to take up positions in criticalareas ofthe Nation’s Oil and Gas. The thrust ofthe policyis equally lo build up local capacity for the sector, which is at present the life wire ofthe economy. Available records show that Nigeria receives over 90%of her Foreign Exchange from Oil and75%of her National Revenue; MrEmmanuel Chiejina is a key player in this regard.
