No word is enough to describe the ingenuity of this man of integrity, whose head ship of the Investment Unit of NNPC. has aided Government to recoup their investment and has acted a check and balances to the activities of foreign oil operators in upstream sector. Due to his steady achievements in NAPIMS he was elevated to the higher position of subsidiary Managing Directorof NETCO later part of 2005. France 1980 In 1981 he obtained Diploma Ingenieur on Drilling and Reservoir Exploilation from the Institute Francais du Petiole, Rueil Malmaison France • In 1990. he diversified into the faculty of Engineering and obtained Master Degree (M.Eng) in Petroleum Engineering with a focus on Petroleum Economics. Work Experience • Join theemployment ofNigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) February I. 1979 as Research Geophysicist in the Department of Research and Development • In 1981. he was promoted to Research Reservior Engineer, due to his mastery of his field. In 1986. he became Petroleum Engineer in the Exploration and Production division ofthe corporation • His exploit and dedication to duty, and obedience lotheconstituted authority, enables his rise lohead Reservior Engineering Unit intheJoint Venture Division • In 1991. he was appointed. Head of Market Intelligence and Technology in the London Office of NNPC. where he performed excellently well He was later attached to the Minister of Petroleum Resources as Technical Assistant In 1998 he returned tothe Mainstream Operations ofthe Corporation, in the Management Cadre asManager in charge ofPetroleum Engineering Services Due lo his excellent performance, in all duties assigned to him and the confidence the Corporation reposed in him. in the last quarter of2003. he was appointed to head the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) as the Group General Manager (GGM) As aman destined to reach the top. in later part of2005. he was rewarded for his excellent and dedicated duty at NAPIMS. he was subsequently elevated lothe position of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NETCO, anengineering ami ofNNPC. National Assignments His excellent performances as he went through his professional growth was spotted and he was involved in crucial national and international assignments, where he did not disappoint the Corporation. He was part ofthe Nations delegation toEconomic Commission Board (ECB) ofthe Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) between 1995-1997 Simultaneously, he doubled as member ofNigeria’s delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Adhoc Group on Berlin Mandate (AGBM) • The present Administration. Subscription to Worldwide Initiative for Transparent Management of Resource Wealth, he was made a member ofthe National Stakeholders Working Group ofthe Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI). Achievements Ile has advanced to the realization ofthe Nigeria quest for 40 billion barrels, raising production output capacity, orproductivity to four million barrels perday and raising Local Content input in ihe Industry to over 50percent all by 2010 He has pushed, identified and classified Local Fabrication Firms that will do top side Integration offloating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) Vessels (Crucial Offshore Oilfield production facility) in the future deep water development projects.
