He at tended the Sokoto Middle School and the Clerical Training College, Institute of Administration, Alimadu Bello University, Zaria. Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has held several ad ministrative positions including those of Chief Accountant and De velopment Secretary, Sokoto Native Authority and Chairman, Sokoto Local Government. He was a mem ber of the Northern Nigeria House of Assembly,from 1953 - 1956,and the House of Representatives from 1955 -1966, and a Minister of State from 1964 - 1966. Until his appoint ment, he was the chairman of the Nigerian Grains Board. He ismarried with children.
