Dr. Onje Gye-Wado was born on July 29, 1954 in his home town, Rinza-Wamba, Plateau State. He represents Akwanga Federal Constituency of the State. He attended Primary School from 1961-1967; Secondary School, 1968-1972 before going to read law at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1973. He got the LL.B in 1977 and went to the Nigerian Law School Lagos the same year. In 1978, he was called to the Bar. Dr. Gye-Wado obtained the LL.M in 1980 from the University of London and Ph.D. in 1987 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is a lecturer and takes interest in sporting activities and discussions. He is married.
