NAFADA, Hon. Amadu Mohammed

Honourable Amadu Mohammed Nafada was born in Nafada in January 1946. His father was a trader while his mother, Fadimatu Nafada, was a housewife. They both had four children. He attended the Nafada Junior Primary School and on leaving school was employed as Clerical Assistant at the Cleric;il Training Cen tre, Potiskum. He resigned his appointment in 1966 to go in to private business. He travelled as far as Shagamu and lle-lfe to buy kola-nut, which he sold at Nafada, his home place. He has two wives, Aishatu and Mairamu. He is blessed with three children. In 1974 he settled at home to sell medicine and now has a palettt medicine shop in his home town. Honourable Nafada finally embraced politics in 1979 and was elected into the House of Representatives on the platform of the P.R.P. for Duku East Constituency. Outside Nigeria, he has visited the Cameroun Republic, Chad and Niger Republic. He is Moslem and his hob bies include football, swimming and dancing.
