Hon. B. Aliyu who hails from Isawa in Bauchi State was born in 1947. He i6 NPN represen tative for Shira Constituency, Bauchi State, in the House of Representatives. He received his education at Primary School, Azare from 1953 to 1959 and at the Bauchi Teacher's College from 1962 to 1966. Hon. Aliyu also attended the Ahmadu Bello Universi ty, Zaria; University of Khartoum and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos where he obtained various qualifications in Law. When Hon. Aliyu completed his training as a ,teacher, he served in the Profession and rose to the position of a Headmaster. Since obtaining his legal qualifications, he has worked as a Higher Registrar and a Pupil State Counsel-in- Training before going into politics. A Muslim by faith, he has two wives Hasana and Maryam —and has three chidlren. His father, Alhaji Aliyu, is a teacher and has thirteen children while his mother Aishatu, is a housewife. He has visited Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Ger many, India and Japan. His hobby is scouting.
