Hon. Chief Zabdiel Olusesan Kolawole Adetula was born on the 24th of August 1928 at Owo in Ondo State and hails from Owo. He is a christian by religion, and one of the 70 children of his father, Chief George Adetula, who was the Sashere of Owo and Chairman of the Owo Divisional Council.His mother Madam Marian Adetula has four children. Hon. Adetula got married to his wife, Mrs. Mabel Oluseke Adetula, on November 14th, 1954 and he has six children. He attended the following educational in stitutions: Owo Government School, Owo, Ondo State, (1935-1941); St. Andrews College, Oyo, Oyo State (1945-1948); University Col lege, London (1956-1961), Lincoln Inn, London (1956-1961). His educational and professional qualifica tions include: First School Leaving Certificate (1941); Higher Elementary. Certificate (1948); G.C.E. Ordinary Levels and Advanced (1954) LLB. London (1959); Diploma in International & Comparative Air Law (1960). Hon. Adetula was called to the Bar in 1961. He wasself-employed before opting for politics. Before studying Law, Hon. Adetula was a pupil teacher from 1943 to 1944. He trained as a teacher at St. Andrew's College, Oyo from 1945 to 1948. Later he taught at St. Paul's School, Abeokuta in 1949. He also taught at the C.M.S. Grammar School, Lagos, Saka Tinubu Memorial High School and Christ High School, Lagos from 1950 to 1955. Hon Adetula has visited a number of coun tries including Ghana, Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom. He takes interest in organ playing, lawn ten nis, table tennis and dancing. He was a councillor in the Owo Local Government until September 1979. He won a seat in the House of Represen tatives on the ticket of the Unity Party of Nigeria to represent OwoConstituency
