U.A.C. Thereafter, Hon. Patrick became a dealer with Total Nigeria Limited and Niger Motors respectively. This was between 1963 and 1976. In 1972, for instance, he was appointed Chair man, Ethiope Local Government and in 1975, he was appointed Chairman of the Develop ment Council for Ethiope Local Government with seven committees under its control. Not only that, Hon. Patrick later became a Coun cillor of Mereje ward —his very political base. A christian and married with ten children, Honourable Chief Patrick Aghogin Gbinije's match to progress culminated in his election io the House of Representatives and the Chair manship of the House Committee on Mines and Power at the end of 1979 general elections. Honourable Patrick Gbinije has travelled to the United Kingdom and Germany. His hobby is swimming.
