Hon. Debo Akande was born on the 9th of June 1938 at Ibadan. He is a christian by religion. He is one of the seven children of the Late Chief Joe Akande. His mother, Mrs. Bamidele Akande, has two children. He got married to his wife, Dr. Jadesola 0. Akande on the 31st of August 1963. They have one child. , Hon Akande attended the following educa tional institutions: Sabo School, Ibadan (1947-49); Ibadan Boys High School (primary) (1949-51); St. Gregory's College, Lagos (1952 57)'; Westminster College, London (1960-61); University College, London (1961-64); Inner Temple (1961-64).
