FAYEMI, Hon Dele

Hon. Fayemi, a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, represents Badagry Federal Consti tuency, Lagos State in the House of Represen tatives. He was born in lle-lfe on May 24, 1938. His father, Mr. Samuel Fayemi is a farmer, while his mother, Mrs. Marian Fayemiis a trader. He attended three different primary schools, namely, St. Peter's School, lle-lfe, (1948-1951), Central School, lle-lfe (1952-1953), and the Roman Catholic School, Modakeke, lle-lfe where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1954. He proceeded to St. Leo's College, Abeokuta in 1957 and obtained his Teachers' Grade two Certificate in 1960. He then went into the teaching profession, but switched over to commercial banking in 1964 and later obtained an Associate of the Institute of Bankers Certificate in 1967.
