was born on the 9th of October, 1931 at Ukpom Ekpene Inuen in the Cross River State. He attended the Lutheran Central School, Ukpom and the N.A. School Ediene Itak, Ikono from 1936- 1947. In 1947, he attended the Holy Family College, Abak Local Government Area and finished in 1951 after obtaining his London Matriculation Certificate. In 1956 he obtained his General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in three papers. From 1957 — 1960, he attended the Universi ty College of South Wales and Monmonthshire, Cardiff, Wales in United Kingdom where he obtained a B.A. degree in 1960 in Economics, Law and Accountancy. He also had an A.C.A., Articles of Clerkship and an FCA (England & Wales). From 1963 - 1964, Honourable Edet Udo - Umo Inyang worked as a Senior Accountant (Administration and Accounting). From August 1964 — 1967, he was a Grade I lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he taught Management Accounting, Taxation Laws and Accounts and Accounting to final year undergraduates. From June 1968 to September 28, 1971, Honourable Edet Udo —Umo Inyang, became the General Manager of the then South Eastern State Marketing Board. From 1972 — March 1973, he served on the staff of the firm of a Ayoola and Company Chartered Accountants, in charge of large audits. From 1973 — June 1974, he was a Lecturer Grade I at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos. On the 1st of July, 1974 he founded E. Udo — Umo & Company Chartered Accountats which is still in operations. Married to former Atim Ukpong Udo, Honourable Etim Udo Umo Inyang has five children and likes farming. He represented Ikono Constituency, Cross River State in the House of Representatives and he is a member of the National Party of Nigeria.
