UGWU, Hon. Frank Chika

Honourable Frank Chika Ugwu, representing Nsukka Urban in the House of Representatives under the Nigerian Peoples Party, was born on the 25th August 1938. Ho is ono of the 8GVOM children of Mr. Michael Eneje Ugwu, a farmer and trader, and Madam Elizabeth Idenyi Ugwu. He attended St. Joseph's School, Nsukka from 1945 to 1951. In 1952, he entered St. Theresa's College Nsukka, where he obtained his West African School Certificate in 1956. He entered the Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology, Enugu, in 1960 for one year and in 1961 he went to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained a B.Sc. degree in Economics. Honourable Ugwu joined the Mobil Oil, Port Harcourt in 1967 for an in-service course in management and was the Assistant Ad ministration Manager in Mobil Exploration in Port Harcourt in 1967. In 1971, he took up an appointment with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as an Ad ministrative Officer and was made the Assistant Registrar in 1973. He became the senior Assis tant Registrar in 1978. Honourable Ugwu loves playing tennis, hun ting and reading. To his literary credit is the publication of fiva nownpnpor articlos and four seminar papers. Married to former Miss Theresa Ali, Honourable Ugwu is a Christian and has five children.
