Hon. Zuru, amemberoftheNational Partyof Nigeria, represents Sakaba/Wasagu Consti tuency, Sokoto State, in the House of Representatives. HehailsfromZuruLocal GovernmentArea in Sokoto State and was born on March 28, 1928 to muslim parents. His father, Marafan Dabai is the district head of Dabai, and had fifteen children while his mother, Madam Aya Dabai had four of them. Alhaji Zuru had his elementary education from 1936 to 1940. He started his career in the Native Authority Council in 1941 and worked there for several years until 1959 when he went into politics. Helaterwent back to the Native Authority Council as Councillor for Finance, a post heretained till 1963when heresigneddue to the dissolution of the Council. He became a member of the Board of the Council when it was reconstituted in 1966. He worked at the Kainji DamProjectand finally went backtothe NativeAuthority Councilwhere heworked until he was elected a member of the House of Representatives. Alhaji Zuru.has four wives namely, Hadijia Fati, Hadijia Asabi, Hadijia Rabi and Hadijia Kulurand they havesix children. He is a muslim and his hobbyis horseriding.
