Honourable John Kolawole Fadeyi was born on the 27th of February 1927 at lla-Orangun in Oshun North East Division of Oyo State. Christian by religion, Honourable Fadeyi is one of the 21 children of Mr. Stephen Akande Fadeyi, a.native herbalist. His mother, Madam Adunola Agbeke Fadeyi, a trader, has three children. He got married to his wife Mrs. Victoria Lape Fadeyi on 27th of December, 1961. He is a father of six children. Honourable Fadeyi attended the following educational institutions: Native Administration School, lla-Orangun (1936-45); Ibadan Gram mar School (1947-52); Fourah-Bay College, Freetown, Sierra Leone (1955-59); Fourah-Bay College, Freetown, Seirra Leone (1960-61). His educational and professional qualifica tions include: First School Leaving Certificate (1945); Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (1952); B.A. (General Studies) of the University of Durham (1959); Diploma in Education of the Universityof Durham (1961). Mr. Fadeyi was a Vice-Principal in July 1959. He moved to the position of Principal in April 1963. He was promoted to Principal Grade II in September 1974. In July 1976, he was elevated to the rank of Principal Grade I. Honourable Fadeyi has not only been involved in teaching and school ad ministration, he has also served on several board of governors of post-primary institu tions in Oyo and Ondo States. Honourable .Fadeyi has visited Sierra Leone, Gambia and Ghana, and takes interest in gardening, reading and music. He won a seat in the House of Represen tatives on the platform of the Unity Party of Nigeria and represents lla Constituency, Oyo State.
