FATOLA, Hon. Johnson Olasupo

Honourable Johnson Olasupo Fatola was born on 22nd October 1927 at his home town, Ibadan. His father, Mr. James.Alao Fatola, a farmer, lived for over104 years. Honourable Johnson started school at the age of six years at the .C.M.S. School, Ika. From 1935-38, he attended St. Cyprian Catholic School, Ibadan. He transferred to St. Patrick's Catholic School also at Ibadan in 1939 where he finally completed his educatoin in 1941. Honourable Fatola taught from 1942 to 1944 before resigning his appointment to join the Nigeria Police in 1944. Nineyearlater he resigned to take up anbther appointment as a Hall Supervisor, Sultan Bello Hall, University of Ibadan. Honourable Fatola attended the Sixth Adult Shasha River course for training in leadership and community development in 1957.' He served as Chairman, Works and Tenders Committee in the former Ibadan North District Council (now Akinyele Local Government Council) from 1960-1962. He was also a member of the Ibadan Divisional Council and Town Planning Authority. Honourable Fatola married the former Miss Victoria Qlalonpe Alade in January 1947 and together they have five children — Felicia, Elizabeth, Solomon, Oluyemisi and Ayobami whose ages range from 17 to 32 years. Honourable Fatola is interested in football athletics and debate. He won a seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Unity Party of Nigeria and represents the Akinyele North Constituency, Oyo State
