Honourable Mohammudu San'da Oma-Eko of the National Party of Nigeria was born in 1928 in llorin Kwara State. He represents llorin West, Kwara State, in the House of Represen tatives. He was one of the eight children of his father, Alhaji Umaru Sanda, and the only child of his mother, Madam Halimatu Sanda. He attended the Okesuna Primary School in llorin from 1934 to 1938. In 1939, he proceeded to the llorin Middle School and from there to the Okene Teacher's College in 1945. Between 1953 to 1954, Hon. Oma-Eko studied for and obtained a Teachers' Grade II Certificate from the Katsina Teachers' College. Honourable Mohammudu Sanda Oma-Eko proceeded to the Bristol University in the United Kingdom in 1962 from where he obtain ed a professional certificate of education. Still in search of further education, he proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1963 and received a Nigeria Certificate in Education Ad ministration in 1964. Hon. Mohammudu Sanda Oma-Eko has spent all his working life planning and ex ecuting the education of mankind. He has held the following posts: Middle School Teacher, 1946 — 54; Head Master of Senior Primary mmm 1 .: School, Borgu Local Government; Inspector of Primary School, llorin Local Government Area, 1959-63; Education Officer — llorin Local Government, 1963-70; Acting Chief Education Officer, llorin Local Government, 1970-73; He retired from the llorin Local Government to work on contract with the Kano Government as an Education Officer. Ho has four children and his hobbies are hockey and reading.
