Hon. Nuhu Poloma was born on the 2nd of September 1941 at Gelengu, Bauchi. He is one of the six children of Mallam Yarda Poloma, a teacher of Gelengu and Madam Sindaba Poloma, a housewife. He had his elementary school at the S. I. M. Schools Gelengu and Kano from 1951 to 1958. He then went to the P. £r T. School Kaduna from 1960 - 1962 and obtained a Territorial Training Certificate. He was at the F.T.C., Kaduna from 1963 to 1964 and obtained Certificate in Secretariat Studies. Hon. Poloma went to the United States of America's Foreing College of Customs in Washington D.C. and received a diploma in Customs and in International Intelligence in 1975. On his return home, he was promoted Senior Assistant Collector of Customs in 1976. Soon after be became Director of Yankari Dallas Limited from 1976 to 1979. He is married to Mrs. Ansa Poloma (nee Obong), and has four children. iTIlW Honourable Nuhu Poloma has visited Lebanon, U.K., U.S.A. Among his many hob bies is travelling. He represents the N.P.N, in Tangale-waja North, Bauchi State, in the House of Represen tatives.
