OLOFINLADE, Hon. Olu

Hon. Olu Olofinlade was born on August 27, 1933 at Ido-Ekiti'n Ondo State. He is one of the 46 children of late Mr. Olofinlade who died in 1943. He lost his mother who had seven children in 1950. Hon. Olofinlade attended St. George's School, Ado-Ekiti (1943-1951), St. Augustine's T.T.C. Ikere-Ekiti (1959-60), St. Peter's Col lege, Akure, (1963-1964), the University of Lagos, (1966-1969), and the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos, (1969-70). He obtained Standard Six First School Leav ing Certificate in 1951, Grade III Teachers' Cer tificate in 1960, Grade II Teachers' Certificate in 1965, G.C.E. (OL) 1965, G.C.E. (A.L.) 1966, LL.B. (Hons) 1969and finally B.L. 1970. He started his working career as a Private Legal Practitioner in June, 1970. He was also the secretary of the Nigerian Bar Assocation, Lagos Branch, 1978-79. He was elected as a honourable member of the House of Represen tatives for Ero South on the platform of the Unity Party of Nigeria. A christian by faith, he is married with five children. He hobby is carpentary.
