APALARA, Hon. Razaq Olayode

Honourable Razaq Olayode Apalara was born on the 17th of August, 1949 in Lagos State but his parents who were trader were born in Saki, Oyo State. His father Awudu Aremu was born in 1918 and he had twelve children. His mother Rabiat Rojuade had seven children. His elementary education started in Lagos at the Ansai Ud Deen School, Alakoro in 1956. For three years from 1966 he went to the Government Commercial Secondary School. Tamale, Ghana and was at the Mavrongo School. Ghana, from 1969 to 1971. He later entered the University of Ife in 1972 where he obtained his LLB (Hons) degree, in 1975. He went to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos for his Nigerian Bar studies in 1976. Hon. Apalara* worked as a Legal Adviser, Plateau Publishing Corporation, Jos, from 1976 to 1977, and a Legal Secretary, James Kilpatrick (Nigeria) Ltd., Apapa, Lagos. He went into private practice before he was elected into the House of Representatives in July 1979.Hon.,Apalara is a muslim by faith and got married to. the former Miss Ganiat Omowunmi San'ni on the 22nd of June 1975. They have four children. He has travelled to Ghana, Liberia and Upper Volta. His hobbies include music, reading and socialising.He is a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria and represents Ifedapo, Oyo State.
