is the Commissioner for Establishment and Service Matters in Gongola State was born in 1940 at Kwambai in Takum Local Government Area. He had his Junior Primary Educa tion at Kwambai from 1951-53 and Senior Primary Education from 1954- 58 at Lupwe. Between 1959 and 1960 he worked as a pay clerk under Federal Public Works Department, Yola-Takum Road Construction project. He also worked with Takum Christian Hospital (now General Hospital) as a clerk in 1961. In 1962 he taught at Suntai Junior Primary School, in Donga District of Takum Local Government Area. From 1963-67, Mr. Iratsi attended Mkar Teachers' College, near Gboko, Benue State and obtained Grade 11 Teachers' certificate. He taught at Dawuda Kwancha Primary School, Donga in 1968 and transferred to Kwambai Primary School in 1969 as an Assistant Headmaster. Mr. Iratsi was seconded to the for mer Wukari combined Secondary Sch ool, Takum (now Mbiya Government Secondary School) as a tutor, Bursar, Student Affairs and Discipline Master in the institution. From 1972 to 1975 he was a student of Advanced Tea chers' College, Kano where he got his N.C.E. He taught briefly at Pankshin Government Comprehensive Collegein Plateau State and by October 1975 he transferred to Nyapuri Commercial College Takum (now Government Commercial Secondary School) and was made a vice-Principal and disci pline master of the school. By January 1977, he resigned from teaching and went to the private sector as a personnel manager in Nyapuri Motor/Bookshop Company Takum. This was the position he held until his appointment as a Commissioner for Establishments and Service Matters, October 1979. ^ * Mr. Iratsi is a Christain and is mar ried with three children. His hobbies include fishing, playing football, base ball and volley ball. <•
