educationist, former Federal Commissioner for Agriculture, Born in Kano, November 4, 1932; Educa tion; St Thomas' School Kano, 1938- 45; St Theresa's School Minna, J947- 47; College of Mary Immaculate 1951- 62; Nigerlari College of Technology, Zaria, 1854-57; University of ibadan, 1958-61; University of Edinburgh, 1963-66 - post graduate diploma In Phonetics and Linguistics; became lecturer University of Ibadan, 1966 and has been on leave of absence since December 1971 when appoin ted Midwest Commissioner for Eco nomic Development and Reconstruc tion, Dec. 1971 - August 1972; appointed the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resour ces, August 1972 - February 1976; became chairman and general mana ger Bendel Farms Management Board December 1, 1974; following the bloodless coup of July 29,1976, was v appointed Federal Commissioner for Agriculture, August 6,1976; member West African Linguistics Society since 1961, also member Interna tional Phoneticians; Married and has a son.
