an educationist, was bom in 1935 at Giwa Nigi. His early education started at Infant School Giwa Higi, and later attended Junior Primary School, Lasa from 194649; and Senior Primary School Garkida, 1950-52. After acquiring Grade111 and 11 Tea chers Certificates in 1956 and 1960 respectively, Mr. Mambula then pro ceeded to Advanced Teachers College, Zaria, in 1962 for his Nigerian Certifi cate of Education, (NCE), during which year, he wrote a book titled, "Na Tsibu Tsibu", publisher by Baraka Press. Between 1969 and 1972, he was at the Ado Bayero College, Kano (then an affiliate of Ahmadu Bello Univer sity Zaria) for his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He has also obtained American Association Management Certificate in 1972. Mr. Mambula worked in various educational institutions in Borno State He was the Headmaster for Bazza Primary School from 1957-58;Vice Prin cipal, Waka Secondary School, 1967- 69; and later posted to Wake Teacher College in 1972 as Principal. In 1976, he became the Principal for Bomo State College of Basic Studies, Maidu guri. Before his appointment as Bomo State Commissioner for Health, Mr. Mambula was with the State Ministry of Education Headquarters as Assis tant Chief Inspector for Education incharge of teachers education. He is married with eight children and his interests are music and hunting.
