Minister of Water Resources, aged 57 years, is from Algaie, Niger State. He attnnded the Barewa College from 1941-1943 to obtain his Middle VI Certificate. After working for anum berof years asLaboratory Suprintendent andGovernment Analyston the treatment of water for domestic and industrial uses, as well as Food and Drugs analysis, Alhaji Mamudu went to Britain onattachment tochemical, water and industrial waste and effluent laboratories to gain further experience from 1960-61. He retired from the Civil Service in 1976 to become the Chairman of the Agaie Local Government. He is married and has five children.
