Mr. Garba Mohammed is an elected member of the Assembly representing Binji/Silame Federal Constituency of Sokoto State. He was born on October 10, 1953 in Sokoto. His home town is Gonde, Sokoto State. He attended New York Institute of Technology from 1975 to 1979 where he ob tained B.Sc. in Political Science. From 1984to 1985 he was at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom for a post graduate Diploma in Public Administration. Mr. Mohammed served as the Chairman of Silame Local Government Authority from 1986 to 1988. He also served as the Sole Administrator of the Council before the 1987 Local Government elections. He is now an Under-Secretary with the Sokoto State Civil Service and married with a child. His hobbies: jogging, reading and travelling.
