Dr. Emereuwaonu Njoku represents Owerri South Federal Constituency of Imo State. He was born on February 22, 1953 in Owerri. He hails from Umuowa, Ngor-Okpala in Owerri, Imo State. He read Medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained MB. BS. in 1981. He became a fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Health, London in 1983. Dr. Njoku is married with two children. Apart from having special love for rural medical practice and community development, Dr. Njoku also takes lawn tennis, table tennis and travelling as hobbies.
