Mr Vice President, the Senate President, in that descending order of seniority and importance. He is the Fifth Igbo Senate President in the present 4'" Republic after Senator Evans Envverem, Senator Chuba Okadigbo (late). Senator Anyim Pius Anyim. Senator Adolphus Wabara and Senator Ken Nnamani. in that order. These are top Igbo sons who had headed the Senate in the present political dispensation. Each had added his own leadership style and glamour to the growth of the nascent Democratic system. His intelligent Business and Administrative acumen and strategy made it again a very successful tenure and he created wealth as a result of his administrative competence and ingenuity. • He decided to go into politics and joined UNCP in 1998 and won election into the Senate to represent Enugu East Senatorial District. This was short lived and as soon as the 4T11 Republic Democratic dispensation kick started in 1999. Ken Nnamani joined the Peoples Democratic Party PDP He contested the Senatorial election of 2003 for the Enugu East Senatorial District and won under the PDP At the Senate 2003-2004. Senator Nnamani displayed his gifts and intelligence as one of the most proficient men in the Upper House. When the time came for the Igbo to submit another name for the Presidency of the Senate. Nnamani was the undoubted Candidate for it and he eventually emerged the President of Senate 2005 date. • At the Senate as the Substantive President, he has begun to do what he knows best. He has restored confidence in the ability and integrity of the men elected to make the laws for the Country. • He has restored peace, and reconciled the many factions that existed in the state. • Senator Ken Nnamani is a great co-ordinator of programmes and people.
