NPP) was born on June 13, 1930 at Umuderim Ihitte in Etiti Local Government Area. He was educated at St. Joseph's Catholic School, Ihitte, C.I.C. Enugu; Mount St. Mary's CoUege, Azaraegbelu. He was a schoolmaster for 16 years before becoming the representative of the University Education Press, Edinburgh for three years. He was also a research officer "Innovation in Rural Societies" for two years; West African represent ative for Henry M. Snyder Publishing Company (5 years); Chairman, Medical and Health Committee in the former Etiti County Council (2 years); Chair man, Ihitte Community Council, (6 years). Mr. Nwamerue is married and has six children.
