clergyman, teacher, Catholic Bishop of Umuahia; Born in 1912 at Oguta, Imo State; Education: attended Sacred Heart Primary School, Oguta, Government School Owerri; 1923- 1925; Christ the King School, Aba, 1925-1930, St. Charles College, Onit sha, 1931 34, Christ the King College Onitsha, 1934-1936, Bigard Memorial Senior Seminary, Enugu, 1937- 1945 - ordained priest; University College, Dublin, 1947-1950, got B.A. (Hon) - was curate Catholic Mission, Idah, 1946-49; tutor. Junior Seminary Okpala, 1950-1951; vice president, Shanahan College, Orlu, 1952-1955, principal, Madonna High School, Ihitte, 1956-1957; principal, Holy Ghost College, Owerri, 1957- 1958, honoured with the national award of Champion of the Niger (CON) and the foreign honour - Order of the British Empire (OBE); member of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost (C.S.Sp); Address: Bishop's House, P.O.
