Date of Birth: Tuesday (One) 12"' March, 1957 State of Origin: Enugu Local Government Area: Udi Village/Town: Obeleagu Umana k Mr. Obiora Madu of Obeleagu Umana in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State was born on 12th March 1957. He had a very humble beginning but worked hard with all the opportunities he had and did not allow anything to hinder him from achieving his dreams. He is poised lo digging dip and getting the best from the rugged but slony ground full of jewels. Education • Primary School in Obeleagu Umana • Admission to secondary school delayed due to lack of money for sponsorship • Entered Teacher Training College instead and made six credits at O-Level General Certificate of Education 1980 • Institute of Management and Technology Enugu ( 1MT) and studied Banking. • Doctoral Student with Rushmore University. USA. ( Still in progress) Employment and Job Experience • Taught for one month • Took up appointment in Banking Industry and reached the post of Export/ Import Operations • Started in 1992 Multimix Investment Company- a pioneer Indigenous Export House in Nigeria. Has spent 22 years of uninterrupted service in International Trade Development and Capacity Building. • Co-ordinates the activities of Multimix Export Academy which is a pioneer and leading institution in Export/Import and Logistics Education in Nigeria. He spent a decade on Export Desk of two major Exports Financing Products and Instruments that are generally used by most banks in Nigeria today. Membership of Associations Associate of the Chartered Institute ol' Bankers Nigeria • Editor in-Chief of Global Trade Magazine Contributing Editor (Export) Success Digest Magazine since 1977 • Fellow of the Institute of Export of Nigeria .Awards and Prizes Recipient of the Prestigious ECOWAS GOLD AWARD for his contributions lo International Trade Development within the Sub region 1999 Recipient of the Highest Certification of the international Import Export Institute as Certified International Trade Education ( CITE) 2002 Mr Obiorah's journey lo Success is both encouraging and challenging to any Igbo Youth. I Ie advises the Igbo Youths thus: "Let nothing distract your attention or block your vision to the top". Mr Obiora is an ICON indeed and a shining example of role model lo be emulated.
