Born on June 18, 1960 in Okwe. Onuimo (Formerly in Okigwe ) Imo State. His Sports Career started from Okigwe National Secondary School and Alvan Ikoku College of Education where h captained the both teams. Dr. Ogu's activism and love for sports, as the bedrock for talent discovery earned him the nickname. "Mr. Grass roots". He has remained a consistent player in the sporting field, helping to nurture fresh talents. Dr. Geoffrey is industrious and totally committed towards school sports development in the state. He possesses appreciable positive attitude to work with speedy and quality service delivery. Education and Qualifications Obtained • State Primary School. The State Contingent carted home nine gold, eleven silver and three bronze medals Awards and Honours Honoured by Governor Achike Udenwa the Imo State Governor with an enviable promotion in the State Ministry of Youths and Sports for leading the State at the third edition of NSSF National Primary School Games which the State emerged the winner.
