traditional ruler educationist, Emir of Lafiagi; Born at a Fulani settlement near Qke-Odde 1924, son of late Malam Muham madu, the Sha'aban Lafiagi and later senior District Head of Oke-Odde 1915-41; Education: Oke-Odde Elementary School, 1932-37. Ilorin Middle School 1937-40, Niger Middle School, Bida 1940-41, Kaduna College 194244; Zaria Middle School- Grade II Teachers Certificate 1945- 46; posted to Teacher Training College, Toro March 1946, became assistant senior teacher 1948-53 and senior teacher March 1953, attended a year's. training course at the Institute of Education, University of London 1955-56 where he obtained Teacher's Professional Certificate in Education; became senior teacher at Mubi Teacher Training College and later, superintendent of education; posted to the Clerical Training School, Potiskum as the principal officer-in-charge; appointed Emir of Lafiagi Oct. 11, 1961 and member of the former Northern House of Chiefs 1961; attended a Judicial course for Emirs and Chiefs conducted in Kaduna by the School of Administration Zaria; Served as a member of the Commission that probed the Pankshin Chieftaincy Affairs in 1964; Address: Emir's Palace, Lafiagi JJ Kwara State; Hobby: keen educationist, has caused several schools to be built through communal effort, also interested in farming and horsemanship.
