Joined Politics and registered with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Contested the 1999 Election for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency under PDP • Won election to the National Assembly to represent Idemili North South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly under the banner of PDP in 1999 • He has made bold and courageous efforts to stand out for what he believes in and supports. • Outspoken legislator who supports all the bills thai centre on improvement ofthe lots ofthe masses. • Championed the National Poverty Eradication Programme in the country. In community development, Hon Ugokwe vvas powerful in passing the bill for the award ofthe contract to reconstruct the Onitsha-Ow erri Road which has been a death trap for many years under previous regimes and governments. Hon Ugokvve is happily married and has three children.
