Darah is a member of the governing council of Western Delta University at Oghara, which is chaired by his friend Obong victor Attah, former governor of Akwa-Ibom State(1999-2007). He participated in the 2014 National Conference at Abuja; He is the foundation member of the PAN Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and is the Chairman of the Delta State Chapter.
