Elected NPP Senator for Anambra Central Constituency; A former member of the House of Assembly 1952-53; Member Eastern House of Assembly 1953-66; Author of 'Before the Darkness Falls;''Facing The Uncertain Future;' 'Pan African Socialism' and 'Eastern Nigerian Economic Possibilities.' He was honoured with an award of C.F.R. in 1965.
