EKPETE, Prof. Dennis Mkpalata

Professor Dennis Mkpalata Ekpete AnambraState Commissioner for Agri culture and Food Production, was born January 8, 1936 and hails from Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area. He had his early education in St John's School, Mgbowo between 1942 and 1949. He gained admission to Government College, Umuahia in 1949 and had a Grade 1 in the Cambridge School Certificate in 1955. Between September, 1955 and June 1960, he was a student of the Univer sity College, Ibadan from there he later gained admission to the Imperial College, University of London (Octo ber 1960 - March 1963). Professor Ekpete bagged the B.Sc. with honours in agriculture; Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemistry (Soil Chemistry) and the D.I.C. also in Agricultural Chemistry.
