(NPP) native of Ndi Ole-Obichie, Ihechiowa in Arochukwu/ Ohafia Local Government Area, was born on August 6, 1946 at Calabar in Cross River State. He recei ved his education at Ihie Central School, Obinto, Ihiechiowa; New Era Technical Institute, Port Harcourt; Akins Technical Limited, Port Har court. As an electrical and circuit analyst, Mr. Itam was works manager, Obi and Sons Electrical Company,' 1965-75. He was a counciUor in Arochukwu/ Ohafia Local Government from 1976-79. He is married and has three children. He is interested in far ming and art appreciation.
