JABO, Dr. Sahabi Maidamma

Librarian, where he served for 11 years. While in the College Sahabi won Sokoto State Civil Service award in 2002, for his outstanding qualities, particularly dedication to duty. In 2008, he also joined the services of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto as a senior librarian and was later promoted to the rank of Principal Librarian. while in the service of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Dr. Sahabi headed the Arabic Unit, ICT unit and Readers’ Services Divisions of the Library at different times in 2014. until his appointment, Dr. Jabo had been the Acting Vice Chancellor, Federal University Birnin Kebbi. He also served as Chairman and member of different committees in the institution. These include the University ethics and Privilege Committee, Senate Council and Finance and General Purposes Committee. Dr. Jabo is Chartered par excellence and was once a Treasurer of Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Sokoto State Chapter. The accomplished professional has several publications to his credit. He also presented papers at difference conference, seminars at both Local and International levels. He is married and blessed with children.
