Born over five decades ago in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria, her solid educational background is exemplified by her acquisition of NCE (Sociology) with distinction from Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Imo State, 1985; B.Sc. in Education/Political Science, from the University of Port Harcourt, 1989; M.A. Ed and Ph.D in Educational Administration and Planning from Abia State University, Uturu Nigeria, 1993 and 2006 respectively. Dr. (Mrs.) Evelyn N. Iheukwumere has shown herself strong and has been distinguished in the services of numerous professional bodies and Institutions, through hard work and dedication. As a Senior Staff, Imo State Secondary Education Board, she served as WAEC Examiner for many years. She is also Secretary to Council and Senate. Owerri; Commendation Letter from Council, Abia State University, Nigeria for Good Attitude to Work, 2004; 2006, Award of participation in Leadership Training (Institute of Leadership Development), Canada; 2008, Award for participation, Seminar on Wealth Creationthrough Entrepreneurship. Sponsored by Abia State University, 2011, Award for Vocational Services by Rotary Club, District 9140. Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Dr. (Mrs) Evelyn Nkemdi Iheukwumere is married with four children.
