Biographical overview
of the Quality Control Unit in 1964 before returning to the teaching profession in 1969. He was the Field Organising Secretary for the Nigeria Union of Teachers in 1971 and from 1973 - 1978, he was the Organiser for the same union. He has visited a number of countries in cluding Niger, Ghana, Italy, England, Germany, the United States of America, Uganda and the Camerouns. He got married to Maryama Labo Mashi- Katsina in 1975 and they have a male child. He enjoys swimming, football and high jump.
