From January to March 1978, he attended a course in supply and Mate rials Management in Brighton, England In September 1978, he visited the State of Illinois in the United States to see Farm Progress Show. Alhaji Muhammed Abba Gana also visited France, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore,. Phillippines, Chad, Cameroun and Niger Republic on various official duties. He was with the State Ministry of Works and Hous ing from 1969-74. Before his appoint ment as Borno State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Alhaji Muhammed Abba Gana, was the acting Chief Electrical Engineer of Chad Basin De velopment Authority in Maiduguri. An Associate member of the Insti tute of Electrical Engineers ofU.K., he is also a registered member of the Institute of Mateirals Handling of the United Kingdom. Alhaji Muhammed Abba Gana is married with five sons. His interests lies in reading, philo sophy, politics, economics, cosmology and theology, as well as watching all athletic activities and games.
